Panel Discussion at NEXUS Symposium 2025

🌱 CYS' Cyber Youth Academy (CYA) was honored to be invited to Beatty Secondary School for a panel discussion at the NEXUS Symposium 2025, focusing on the topic of Digital Sustainability! The event shed light on how industry partnerships, foreign exchanges and youth empowerment can contribute to digital conservation.

🎤 Adelei Tock, our Executive Coordinator, represented Cyber Youth Academy alongside esteemed panellists Ms. Siisi Saetalu, Mr. Jimmy Soon, and student representatives from Beatty Secondary. Together, they engaged in an insightful conversation about the role of youths in fostering sustainability in the digital age and shared multiple ways on how youths can take action. The students’ enthusiasm is an affirmation of our efforts to encourage participation in sustainability and technology fields.

💡 We hope the students left inspired by shared experiences, understanding digital sustainability and its importance, and feeling empowered to seize opportunities for learning and growth.

CYS @ United Nations

CYS is honoured to be a part of the United Nations discourse on the impact of cyber conflicts on youths 🌐

We are proud to have our representatives, Timothy L., Beatrice Tan and Ismail Ariffin, be the voice of youths at the eighth substantive session of the Open Ended Working Group (OEWG) on Security of and in the Use of Information and Communications Technology at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

During the session, CYS shared key interventions the youth appreciate in Singapore’s digital landscape and their perspective on cyber conflicts.

CYS is the only Asian youth group accredited to participate in this working group. The statements made by our representatives will directly shape and frame the global conversation on cyber conflicts, marking a big step forward in Singapore's youth NGO development.

We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to National Youth Council Singapore and Mr Benjamin Ang from RSIS | S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies for their support in making this possible.

CYS continues to pledge its commitment to empower youths to leverage technology and shape their digital future ⭐️
